Bentomed for High Cholesterol
Cholesterol is a waxy substance (lipid) that is necessary for life. It is necessary for the production of cell walls, bile and vitamin D as well as hormones like cortisol. Cholesterol affects one's health negatively only when it is present in concentrations that are too high.
If excess cholesterol is present in the blood, or there's just too much cholesterol in the body in general, so-called atherosclerotic plaque can develop in the blood vessels. Atherosclerosis can slowly develop over time and so end up restricting blood flow in one or more arteries.
How Bentomed MICRO Works
Bentomed MICRO primarily consists of a natural clay (also known as fango) that has been collected in a formerly volcanic region of south-east Austria near the town of Gossendorf. Such healing clay is only found here. In addition, Bentomed MICRO contains biologically produced barley and naturally pure herbal essences.
Extraordinary Binding Capacity
Natural Gossendorf fango healing clay works like a sponge, taking up the cholesterol found in food and encouraging it to be passed naturally in the stool. In this way, the cholesterol is prevented from entering the bloodstream, thus limiting the strain on the body.
Natural Gossendorf fango healing clay consists of extremely fine particles, and that means a lot of surface area. There are also a number of tiny canals within the particles, and these in turn add to the total surface area. A single gramme of dry healing clay has a specific surface area of over 10 square metros. If Gossendorf fango binds with water, the swelling of the particles further increases the surface area. The combine internal and external surface area of a gramme of wet natural fango can grow to over 500 square metres. The more surface area available, the more effective the clay is at binding to the fluids and harmful substances present, in particular lipids.
Selective Ion Exchange: Detoxification while providing the body with nutrients
The unique crystal structure of fango healing clay means that it has a strong tendency to attract specific harmful substances in the body including toxins, biological micro and macro elements, and heavy metals. In an exchange process, positively charge ions like Mg++, Ca++, K+ and Na+ which are present in the crystal structure are taken up by the body. Harmful substances are bound to the healing clay, and essential mineral are left behind. In scientific literature, this effect is known as ion exchange. The harmful substance that have been taken up by the clay – for example excess cholesterol – are then passed in the stool.
Barley Delivers a Wealth of Vital Nutrients
Due to the wealth of essential nutrients it contains, barley is among the most valuable of foodstuffs in the world. More than 40 years ago, the Japanese scientist Dr Yoshihide Hagiwara conducted research on more than 250 foods that contain chlorophyll. He found that barley contains more nutrients than any other plant. Barley is among the most studied food crops – it provides of true cornucopia of essential nutrients. It contains calcium, B vitamins, vitamin C, iron, potassium, vitamin E, vitamin K, folic acid, pantothenic acid, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, zinc, sulfur, copper, selenium, manganese, chromium, molybdenum and silicon. Barley also contains chlorophyll along with important enzymes that act as antioxidants and amino acids. One should keep in mind that barley contains all of these nutrients in their natural forms so that they can be optimally made use of by the body. It's been scientifically proven that barley provides the body with essential nutrients, a deficiency of which can lead to illness.

If you are already taking medication prescribed for you by your physician, we recommend that you not use Bentomed MICRO as a replacement for your treatment but instead as a complimentary therapy. In such cases, you should avoid using Bentomed MICRO within an hour of taking your medication. This is because Bentomed MICRO has a strong detoxifying effect and this can result in binding to substances in the medication, thus preventing them from being taken up by the body.
